AAHomecare reports that Senate Bill S2736 has been introduced in the Senate. Many member of the Senate Finance Committee has already signed on board. This bill will:
- Delays the 2nd phase of cuts by an estimated 15 months (10/1/17)
- Secures the bid ceiling at the unadjusted fee schedule rates in effect as of January 1, 2015 with yearly CPI adjustments
- Requires CMS to visit pricing adjustments for non-bid areas, taking into account into account travel distance, clearing price, and other associated costs for furnishing equipment taking effect 1/1/19
- Advance the start date of the federal portion of reimbursement for Medicaid rates by 3 months, from calendar year 2019 (1/1/19) to fiscal year 2019 (10/1/18)
You will need to act NOW to contact the senators from your state and get their backing. Let your senator know what these cuts are doing to your business, your community and their constituents!
