The industry has fought back and won again, relief starting for rural care reimbursement rates goes into effect June 1st, 2018. This comes as a victory for citizens across the US in hardworking rural & non-contiguous areas, as their access to life sustaining healthcare & equipment has been unburdened.
What this means for Providers: rates are reverting to pre-CBA rates for 6/1/2018 – 12/31/2018
What this means for HDMS Clients: updating rates in HDMS related to CBA is a two part process.
STEP 1: Medicare continues to publish allowables which you load in your normal allowable table. Those are available for download now on the Downloads page of the Client Support site.
STEP 2: Rural specific rates are managed in the CBA table in HDMS. Universal is currently compiling new CBA files for you download, and will be available shortly.
